Dina Vinar, MSW, LSW

Clinical Therapist

My Bio

Dina is an experienced clinical therapist. She works with individuals who may experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, bi-polar, trauma, negative repeating patterns, work related issues and adjustment disorders. Dina’s approach is to build therapeutic relationships with her clients. She recognizes the “magic” of successful therapy for her clients begins with establishing trust, encouraging collaboration, and maintaining clear and professional boundaries with all her clients from teens to adults, including retirees.

She holds a master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), which she earned in 2000 and her bachelor degree in social work (BSSW), with a minor in Human Development and Family Science as well as her State of Ohio Licensed Social Worker, (LSW), in 1999. She received both degrees from The Ohio State University.

Her past work experiences include working in private practice, a psychiatric hospital, and outpatient mental health agencies.

Outside of the field of Social Work, she previously held positions as a Director and office manager in the private, non profit sector.

What is Interesting about me:

In addition to my formal education, and state license, I am a trained listener who hears and notices what’s left unsaid. I’m also sensitive to energy and am an intuitive empath.

I can sense, feel or see shifts in people’s energy, and that provides a distinctive style when you have sessions with me. My style isn’t cookie-cutter, but individualized and supportive for you.

Client Focus and Specializations:

As a Person Centered therapist, Dina works to know the client as a person, their unique characteristics and understand the world from their perspective. The goal of this approach is for the clients to become more self-aware, achieve greater independence and discover their own abilities, without judgment.
