My name is Riysha Robinson, and I am a Master of Social Work student at The Ohio State University completing my clinical internship with Theravault.
My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and grounded in modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and trauma-informed care. I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered to explore their strengths and work toward their goals.
I’m committed to personal growth and cultural responsiveness, working to ensure therapy is inclusive and attuned to each individual’s unique background and journey. I look forward to growing my clinical skills as part of the TheraVault team
I’ve always been passionate about helping others feel seen, heard, and valued. Throughout my life, I witnessed the impact that support, and lack of it, can have on people’s lives, especially those navigating systemic inequalities. This inspired me to pursue a path in social work where I could be part of the solution.
I bring experience working with diverse populations and advocating for marginalized communities across a variety of settings. My journey began with a background in Child and Youth Care. I completed a B.A in Child and Youth Care at Toronto Metropolitan University, and have since evolved through work in social services, shelters, and healthcare settings. These experiences deepened my understanding of the barriers many individuals face and strengthened my commitment to equity, access, and culturally responsive care.
As a clinical intern, I’m eager to continue developing my therapeutic skills while holding space for people to process, heal, and grow, on their own terms and at their own pace.
