I earned my Bachelor of Psychology (BS) from Harding University and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Arizona State University. My clinical experience spans a broad range of environments offering a unique perspective when working with women and families. Prior to moving into private practice, I provided behavioral health services to patients and families at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Additionally, I have provided clinical support in crisis response for human trafficking survivors, rehabilitation for those with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, as well as case management support to homeless families.
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory designation (LISW-S) as well as a Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) provider having completed extensive training through Postpartum Support International. I have completed additional training in advanced grief counseling and hold a certification in Advanced Grief Counseling Support (CAGCS). I am passionate about supporting women and their families throughout every set of their perinatal journey, including loss.
I aim to emphasize the importance of building a supportive and non-judgmental rapport that allows my clients to feel safe as they work towards their goals.
The clinical approaches of evidence-based therapies I utilize include:
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Solution-Focused Therapy.
As well as elements of:
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
My goal is to apply a client-centered approach focusing on YOUR strengths as catalysts toward change.
